Founder Ariel Zorrilla in his home.

I was born and raised in the Brownsville, Brooklyn neighborhood in New York City in 1992.

For 21 years, the angst of surviving the wounding project conditions there with your mind intact was indescribable. To combat the folly, I focused on athletics and fine arts as if my life depended on it. Mastering AND 1 basketball glitz to build a local reputation and draw well enough to earn a seat in a prestigious art school.

I grew to obsess over the scent of new sneakers, incense, and the homogeneous use of Black Ice suspended on car rearview mirrors. Scents have always augmented my imagination; rain, earth, spices, cocoa butter, the barbershop.

In time, persistent self-education and a desire to own a business led to the emergence of the eponymous brand.

The products are abstractly autobiographical. My life inspires the fragrances: the people I’ve met along the way, the places I’ve traveled, and the minutiae I obsess over. It’s all about personal refinement. Adding to someone’s life, instead of becoming it. Fulfilling an instinctual artistic purpose by any means.

Each bottle is bespoke. Fused by hand late at night, overlooking Midtown East with noble materials chosen with meticulous care to create impeccable fragrance of the highest quality.

Being a Dominican-American who hates the winter, I am exclusively attracted to warm notes. Vanilla, woods, and musks are the golden trio that tend to make their way into what I do.

My fragrances are as intricate as I know myself to be.

Love eternal,

Ariel Zorrilla
